Grant dates: 21 July 2026 to 31 March 2027
The higher oil and LPG amount is time-limited. The standard £7,500 grant is the one that carries on.
Key takeaways
- The values notice says the categories are effective from 21 July 2026.
- GOV.UK says the extra oil and LPG amount runs until March 2027. We use 31 March 2027.
- £7,500, £2,500 and £5,000 are not described as ending on that date.
The window
The Secretary of State’s values notice says the set of categories and values is effective from 21 July 2026. GOV.UK’s “what you can get” page says the additional oil and LPG amount lasts until March 2027. We record the end as 31 March 2027 in the data file so every page uses one date.
An application is made by the installer, not on the day you first read this page. Ask them whether the voucher they expect will still be inside the window.
What the date does not do
It does not cancel £7,500 for gas, electric, coal, or for oil and LPG after the window. It does not change air-to-air. It does not make a hybrid eligible for a few months.
It is not a promise that installers can survey every oil home before the end. Lead times are a reason to start the quote, not a reason for this site to imply the grant is already yours.
How this site will change
We re-check the Ofgem page when the data file changes. Near the end date we will rewrite uplift pages so they do not keep offering £9,000 as a current amount. The cost and process pages stay.
If a Budget changes the date, the data file changes first and the pages follow. We do not update the “last checked” line unless the content actually changes.
