£2,500

An air-to-air heat pump is a £2,500 grant in England and Wales. The oil and LPG uplift does not apply to it.

Oil and LPG do not raise the air-to-air grant. It stays at £2,500.

We do not publish a cost range for this heat pump type yet, because we do not have a checked source for it.

An oil home choosing air-to-air

The same oil home can land on two different grants, depending on the heat pump. Air-to-air stays on the flat amount. Air-to-water can use the dated oil and LPG category.

What air-to-air means here

On this site, air-to-air is the heat pump category listed at £2,500 on the approved grant values notice. It is separate from air-to-water, which moves heat into water for radiators or underfloor heating.

The checker does not say which system a house should have. It shows the grant row for the type you select. Read the air-to-air guide for the scheme wording, and the standard grant guide for the air-to-water amount.

Who this grant is for

Use this checker if

  • The quote names an air-to-air heat pump.
  • The home is in England or Wales.
  • You want the grant row before you compare it with air-to-water.

This is a different row if

  • The system heats water for radiators. That is air-to-water.
  • The quote is a hybrid. Hybrids are not a grant category here.
  • You need a running-cost comparison. That is not published on this page.

Frequently asked questions

Does an oil home raise the air-to-air grant?

No. The values notice lists air-to-air at £2,500. The £9,000 oil and LPG category is for air-to-water and ground source heat pumps.

Is air-to-air the same grant as air-to-water?

No. Air-to-water is £7,500, or £9,000 for oil and LPG in the dated window. Air-to-air is £2,500.

Why is there no install price here?

This site does not have a checked air-to-air cost range. The checker shows the grant and leaves the balance to the quote.
