Check Heat Pump Grant

After 31 March 2027

When the uplift window closes, an eligible air-to-water or ground source heat pump is the £7,500 grant, including homes that had been on oil or LPG.

Key takeaways

  • £9,000 is not described as a permanent rate.
  • £7,500 continues for qualifying air-to-water and ground source installs.
  • We will reword the oil and LPG pages rather than delete the cost guidance.

What the current notices imply

Today’s consumer page presents £9,000 as an until-March-2027 addition for oil and LPG, on top of the heat pump grant. The underlying standard value for air-to-water and ground source is £7,500. Unless a later notice says otherwise, that is the amount this site will show after 31 March 2027.

We are not guessing a new scheme. If the government extends the uplift, we will change the data file and say we did.

What will happen to these pages

Oil, LPG and cost pages should still explain how grants and quotes work. The sentences that offer the higher amount as current will be rewritten or removed. A page that only exists to repeat the uplift will not be left up as if nothing changed.

County pages are not live, so there is nothing local to retire. Process pages, the checker and the methodology stay.

What to do now

If you are on oil or LPG and you want the higher amount, the useful step is a real survey while the window is open, from an installer who will name the category. Reading this page in October 2026 does not reserve a grant.

This is a guide, not a decision. Your installer applies and Ofgem decides.
